Biography
Dr. Nachreiner is currently a Nurse Consultant with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Customs and Border Protection. She is also adjunct faculty with the School of Public Health. Prior to her work with DHS, she served as Co-Director of the Occupational and Environmental Health Nursing program at the University of Minnesota. She taught the Introduction to Occupational Health and Safety course, and the Interdisciplinary Evaluation of Occupational Health and Safety Field Problems course, and was active in a variety of research projects for nearly 18 years. Dr. Nachreiner has authored or co-authored approximately 30 publications, and 125 presentations. She advised or served on committees for approximately 40 students. Her research interests include work-related violence, and return-to-work issues for cancer survivors. Nancy recently completed her term as President of the Minnesota Association of Occupational Health Nurses, and is a Fellow in the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses.
